Agility Multichannel today announced that it has been positioned in the November 2015 Magic Quadrant for Master Data Management of Product Data Solutions by Gartner Inc. (NYSE:IT). Evaluation was based on completeness of vision and ability to execute.

The authors of the report, analysts Andrew White, Bill O’Kane, Terilyn Palanca and Michael Patrick Moran, outlined an overall MDM market that “continues to evolve in complex ways,” where “the ability to achieve and maintain a single, semantically consistent version of product master data is crucial for customer-centric organizations.”

The 2015 MDM Landscape Report

Agility Multichannel today announced that it had again received top ranking for “customer satisfaction” in the 2015 MDM Landscape report from independent research firm The Information Difference.

Citing significant growth in the MDM marketplace over the past year, the annual report ranked leading MDM providers, assigning a significant part of each vendor’s « technology » score to customer satisfaction, as determined by a survey of customers. For the second year in a row, research showed that Agility Multichannel was the vendor with the happiest customers, putting them at the top of a large field of leading, global MDM vendors including IBM, Informatica, Oracle, SAP and Stibo Systems.

The founders of The Information Difference helped shape the MDM industry and have in-depth, global MDM project experience. President and CEO Andy Hayler commented, « To rank #1 for customer satisfaction in a survey based on a large sample of references speaks volumes. Gartner Positions Agility Multichannel in 2014 Magic Quadrant for “Master Data Management of Product Data Solutions” for Third Consecutive Year

Agility Multichannel, whose Agility® Product Management for Commerce software empowers brand manufacturers, distributors and retailers around the world to conquer the complexities of commerce, today announced that it had been positioned in the Nov. 2014 Magic Quadrant for Master Data Management of Product Data Solutions by Gartner Inc. In their research, Gartner analysts Andrew White and Bill O’Kane reported that “the MDM of product data solutions market segment grew nearly 9% in 2013. Increasingly, end-user organizations are exploiting MDM as the heart of a digital business transformation.”

The report further states that “businesses of all sizes and in many industries struggle to maintain a consistent, shareable and accurate single version of product or service data across their organizations. With the increasing focus on digitalization of enterprises, management of their key master data is also becoming more important. The ability to achieve and maintain a single, semantically consistent version of product master data is crucial for customer­-centric organizations.”

The solution is well suited for firms that need to syndicate product content to multiple channels and includes integration with Adobe’s Creative Cloud for print as well as mature connectors for most of the leading eCommerce platforms.

Outlining an evolving marketplace in which “customer demands for high-quality, consistent product information and content are on the rise,” Forrester analysts submitted the ten most significant PIM vendors to a detailed, 19-criteria evaluation model. Agility received some of its highest scores for these criteria:  “architecture and scalability,” “workflow, approval, and business process support”, “product taxonomy and relationship management” and « administration” and “vendor portal” tools, putting its current offering at the top of a group of select “Strong Performers,” a term used to distinguish this field from the larger players in the market.

Describing a “considerable uptick” in client inquiries about how PIM solutions can replace home-grown solutions, Forrester’s Wave authors Peter Sheldon and Michele Goetz also noted in the report that:

Agility® v6 will be available immediately to new and existing customers.

Chief Technology Officer Graham Cook said, “With Agility v6 we’re launching a wide range of new and enhanced features. But one theme underlying everything is usability. Our goal was to give each user a simple and elegant experience, with a groundbreaking new interface that can be tailored to fit their specific roles and needs. That meant tightening and extending integration capabilities as well as dramatically reducing the learning curve for every user.”

Cook then highlighted some significant areas of development focus:

The new release also provides new Governance functionality, for data stewards, and enhanced Data Integration with simple drag-and-drop functionality, which can be used for onboarding of information, validations and data quality. It also adds new, out-of-the-box Business Intelligence (BI) reporting and analytics tools.

Agility v6 has upgraded support for the databases and application servers from Oracle, IBM and Microsoft that it already runs on and introduces additional application server support for JBoss, furthering the company’s goal of minimizing the cost and hassle of deploying PIM and MDM of Product solutions.
